I found at least three IPs in the same subnet are required to make it work, say, 192.168.30.x/24 :First IP: Local ethernet adapter: 192.168.30.1 (I'd like to take a brand new unused subnet.)Second IP: Siemens PLCSIM virtual ethernet: 192.168.30.2 (have to be in the same subnet, or the local TIA Portal won't find local virtual PLCs, but can find PLCs from other PCs.)Third IP: Virtual PLC instance created by PLCSIM: 192.168.30.3 (more IP consumed with more PLC instances.)link#plc #plcsim

Second IP: Siemens PLCSIM virtual ethernet: 192.168.30.2 (have to be in the same subnet, or the local TIA Portal won't find local virtual PLCs, but can find PLCs from other PCs.)
